Edition 1
Idia College Grand Finale
The peak of Edition 1: industry speakers, government officials, a teenage Web3 developer and life-changing gifts.
On Monday, 8th December 2025, Edition 1 came to a close with the Grand Finale at Idia College, Benin City — bringing together students, volunteers, educators and state officials.
The speakers
- Oghenemarho Umunade, Head of Development, TechMarho
- Hon. Jackson Monday, Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on New Media and Branding
- Prince Daylight of Edo Broadcasting Service, host of Rediscovering Mathematics
- The CEO of CMB Computers and Technologies
A highlight of the day was Joshua, an SS2 student and active Web3 developer, who showed his peers exactly what is possible with early digital exposure. Seeing someone their own age building in advanced tech changed what many students believed about themselves.
Gifts and scholarships
Outstanding students received laptops, power banks, charging cables and smart glasses — not as prizes to put on a shelf, but as working tools to keep learning. Scholarships in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence were also awarded, and every student received a TTA card linking to free online courses.
The Edo State Ministry of Education later issued a formal letter of commendation recognising the impact of the project and the excellence of the Grand Finale.
